Who WE are
We are the Artificially Hip Oldies Band, a group of eight "oldies" that are keeping rock and roll alive in the Lowcountry. We cover songs from the 60'- 80's that fill the dance floor. As you visit our site, you will learn our story, hear our sound, experience several of our concerts and see how much we and our audiences love reliving the memories of our youth. We would love to bring those sweet memories to your event.
“...what could be more authentic than 60's music played by people who actually lived it.”
“Who didn't want to play in a band growing up? Their energy makes us all feel young again.”
WHAT WE DO FOR CHARITY
We play for our love of this era of music, to bring back memories and joy to our audience, and most importantly to raise money for charitable causes, not for ourselves. If you are local to the Lowcountry, planning a large (125+) person event with attendees that share our enthusiasm for this music, and need a headline attraction, then please contact us.
“In 2023 Artificially Hip performed for over 200 people at the Grand Opening of the Foundation's Weezie Educational Pavilion. This fundraiser was so successful we had them back in 2024. The Band is generous in sharing their talents. You can tell they are having fun and their contagious energy and great set list tranported the crowd back to the days of their youth and filled the dance floor.”
— Kathy Caliendo, Director of Development and Sarah Walbert, Marketing and Events Coordinator, Port Royal Sound Foundation
“Thank you for donating your time and talents for our "End of Summer" fundraiser. Everyone had a wonderful time dancing and singing and the proceeds will help us increase the grants we can provide worthy local organizations.”
— Lori Desing, President, Hampton Hall Charitable Fund Board
“We are grateful for your generosity and energetic performance at our "Rewind: A 60's-80's Dance Party". Members came in retro outfits, filled the dance floor and raved about your music. The event raised over $11,000 for grants to charitable organizations. We plan to have you back next year”
— Rev. Fred Thayer, President, Moss Creek Charitable Fund
